ASHLEY'S 3RD B-DAY PARTY!!

SUPER-CALI-FRAGILISTIC-EXPI-ALI-DOCIOUS - OH MY!! Marry Poppins flew into town today, especially for Ashley's 3rd Birthday Party!! All the girls and boys that attended had a blast!! Tea party, dress up, face painting, and fun games with Marry Poppins was the talk of the town :) Ashley looked marvelous with her beautiful bonnet and lovely lace umbrella... I wonder where Marry Poppins is going to show up next?! Happy birthday, Ashley!!

AUTUMN'S FAMILY PHOTO SESSION...

I was super happy that the weather decided to smile upon us today at the Arboretum with yet another sweet family :) With 1 - 2 hours left before sunset, lighting was just PERFECT!! It was a bit chilly, especially for sweet little Jack (those eyes...), but Melissa, Joel, and Princess Elise & Kitty (so dreamy...) did a fantastic job! Thank you, everyone!! Can't wait to see you soon :)

CHEN Family & Halloween Photo Session!!

Yesterday was a family/Halloween photo session with the Chen Family :) It's always wonderful when I am given numerous opportunities to take images of families during their many "life" events, as well as the privilege of witnessing their children's growths (especially those little sweetie-pies blossoming into charming ladies...).

My heart always melts when children remember me from before and shout out, "TJ!!" with a huge smile :) Truly, children are life's precious gifts... Thank you, Chen Family!!

Sophie's Classy Photo Session...

Today was a pleasant Sunday late afternoon photo shoot with Sophie. Even though we both grew up outside of the United States, we had many things in common and I enjoyed every minute of our conversation :) Sophie has this calm delicate beauty that is timeless, and I love the way she looks in these images... Thanks Sophie for a great afternoon!

Thank you, Sutton Family!!

Thanks, again, Sutton Family!! I just wanted to share my TWO favorite images from their photo session. Rowan was too cute with those pineapple glasses, and Max was silly cute being himself :) I'm so happy when I'm able capture kids just being "kids"!

Allison's 1st B-Day Party!!

WOW!! How time flies when you're busy working on things that you enjoy!! In my case, it's teaching my 5th graders AND photography :) It seems like just yesterday when I was invited to photograph Allison's baptism... She's such a big girl now!! What a joy to witness, as well as having the privilege of capturing children's images as they grow up... LOVE IT!! Allison's mommy did a fantastic job with the decorations, as you can see :) They were finger-lickin' yummy, too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLISON!! See you again soon! XOXO

Faith's 2nd B-day Pool Party!!

Super fantabulous cake!! Mmmm!!

Faith having a SPLASH!!

Faith & Xavionna (big sister)

Dre (little brother)

This past Sunday was my friend's daughter, Faith's birthday party :) It was held at the West Sacramento's Recreation Center, and WOW!! That place was awesome!! Indoor decorations were amazing with the Little Mermaid's "Under the Sea" theme, and check out this cake!! Faith, along with her big and small buddies were having a ball at the pool. Happy Birthday, Faith!! xoxo

Marty, Kim, Colin, & Chase Photo Shoot!!

Yesterday, I had an awesome photo session with a family of two handsome/cute energetic boys!! Chase was literally chasing the ducks & having a time of his life! Colin was eloquently reciting his governor's speech, and talked about how he'd rule his people (looked quite distinguished, I might add!); too cute!! Mom and Dad joined in and played around with the kids, which was great to photograph :) Thanks, guys!! P.S. Colin, I promise we'll have a mini playdate when I come over to show you the pictures next time!!

Max & Rowan's Photo Shoot!!

Today was Max & Rowan's photo shoot, and did we have fun or what?! Rowan LOVED blowing bubbles (check out those lips!!) and Max LOVED chasing and "eating" bubbles with his new friend crocodile (or is it an alligator, hmmm?). With mom, dad, auntie, and uncle's help, our photo shoot was a breeze! Thanks everyone!!

Hollywood, Sacramento, Vegas, OH MY!!

Noriko

Tarin

Capitol Building

Civil War Era American Flag

Assembly Floor

Capitol Building Dome

Las Vegas Strip Nightscape

I had LOTS of fun these past few weeks with friends and family :)

FIRST: I didn't actually go to Hollywood, but felt like I did when Noriko and Tarin allowed me to practice my "Hollywood 1940's Glamour" shots with them. It turned out to be like a fun & crazy mom's slumber party (minus the actual sleeping over since we do have kids to go home to!)!! We had a blast!! Check these SUPER HOT MAMAS out!! I'm very pleased with my first attempt at these types of images; thanks juicy working mamas!

SECOND: My friends from Bakersfield came to visit me for 3 days, and we had soooooooooo much fun :) We also had the opportunity to visit our capitol building, and I was floored by the beauty of our history... It is a must visit "staycation" destination when you have a chance!! They also had a small display room with American flags from the civil war era... To think that some patriotic citizen sewed each and every one of those stitches gave me goosebumps...
THIRD: I went to Las Vegas with my mom for 2 days, and the best part was watching the Lion King's musical!! OMG, I had goosebumps AGAIN all the time! The costumes, stage setting, and music was all superb! You have to check it out!!

Well, until next time! Good drama, bring it on!!

Happy 4th of July, EVERYONE!!

#1 #2

#3 #4

#5 #6

WOW!! What a great 4th of July we had!! My kids and I attended our very first fireworks show in Davis with other family members, and what a blast it was!! The music was awesome, food was amazing, and the company topped the cake :)

I was able to successfully photograph some amazing fireworks. Here are a few of MANY incredible images that I was able to capture. I loved their colors and shapes so much that I kinda went CRAZY on the saturation and made unique and creative images to satisfy my artistic curiosity :)

My goal for next July 4th: own a wide-angle lens and capture more of what I see that's exciting; fireworks AND people enjoying them!!

Which one is your favorite?

Mmmm, YUMMY photo session!!

Boy!! I don't know what came over me, but I wanted to buy lots & LOTS of yummy pastries, and that wasn't really for my tummy!! It was to take photographs of them for something like a food magazine assignment. I wanted to expand my portfolio and had a blast doing it!! Check it out!

Which one is your favorite dessert?

New website launched!!

Yeah!! FINALLY, my new website is launched! I love it, and hope you guys enjoy the new look :) www.lemonnlimephotography.com

By the way, for those of you that live in Davis, you may have noticed this building off of 2nd street (Mori Seki Company) alongside the railroad tracks. Photography is so amazing! Who would have thought that what your eye sees and what the camera captures could be so different, especially when you wait an extra 30 min.!!
Check out the difference between the 8:30 PM & 9:00 PM images (with a bit of photoshop).

lemon'n lime photography

WELCOME, WELCOME, to lemon'n lime photography's very first BLOG post!! It's amazing how fast time flies when you're pursuing your passion!! Yeah!!

I would like to first take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE that's been supporting me through my humble beginning as an aspiring photographer, and to my children for being understanding and patient while mommy pursued her dream! Love you guys 4-ever!! I want to especially thank my sister, Noriko, who has been nothing but positive and kind (yet, blunt & to the point) through all of my life's ups and downs. She has been my biggest cheerleader, especially when I was too scared to pursue my passion for photography. She continues to be my inner voice of strength when I'm down, she is the brave explorer leading the way for me to follow, and she is the rock that keeps me grounded. As they say in the movies, she "completes" me... I LOVE YOU, NORIKO!! I am so lucky to have you in my life!! xoxo

Well, everyone, fasten your seat belts and enjoy my journey through lemon'n lime photography!
My life's new motto: "GOOD DRAMA: BRING IT ON!!"
